Rotokas is an East Papuan language spoken on the island of Bougainville, an island which is part of Papua New Guinea and which located to the east of New Guinea. There are three main dialects: Central Rotokas, Aita Rotokas and Pipipaia. Central Rotokas has one of the smallest inventories of phonemes in the world. About 4,000 people speak Rotokas.
